"You Got It Bad."

These are random pictures of outfits I like especially the all black one with the bicycle. I also like the last one with the suit. The pants are really cute and they look nice on the person wearing them. All in all, I like all of these looks in different ways. Which one do you guys like? Have a great weekend! Ciao

"Turn the Beat Around"

I finally finished writing my research paper for Frankenstein, I'm so relieved. Although I procrastinated alot in my attempt to write it. After watching the 1931 verison of the film and reading the novel I can now say that the novel was far better than the film. But thats mostly the case when it comes to the novel and movie.  Although the weather is still alittle breezy here, the sun has come out to play. So this post is primarily about sunglasses, although I don't wear them because I wear glasses. Alas, I still think they look cool to wear. Off to class, Ciao.

Carried Away In Blue

Karen Walker sunglasses, LF sweater, dress from Urban Outfitters, American Apparel clutch, Matiko sandals - New York City Fashion and Personal Street Style Blogger
Well blue is one of my favorite colors so I wanted to make a post about the different types of shades and how pretty it is when it is incorporated into a wardrobe. I don't know if any of you are seeing Fashion Star but I simply loved Luciana's dress last night. It's available at H&M as of right now. Off now, Ciao.

Bows, Bows, Bows

(Pictures from Chictopia)
It's already starting to turn in the 90's here, I'm really not used to it, I don't think I can live down below in Florida where its always hot. I have enough trouble standing the summer here. I remember when it used to snow here alot and we had snowstorms. My mom and me had to walk through a feet of snow and go to the store to buy some groceries while everyone was inside. The streets were so empty and everything was covered in white. And now, it doesn't snow to that extreme anymore. I miss it, the summer is just plain sticky and hot. This makes me want to go to the city before it starts getting hotter. The good thing about living in New Jersey is the city is near and all I have to do is take the train. Jersey City, reminds me of the city with the townhouses and the neighborhoods that are so trendy. Getting off track, this post is about bows because I find them cute and love'em. Off to class, Ciao.

Lusting After

Yellow Dress

Lace Dress

Leather Biker Jacket

Frayed Jacket

Combined Printed Shorts

Mini Wedge with Stripes

High Heel Jelly Shoe

Items I want but I can't have. I already splurged on two Zara heels. Oh well, I can always wait. One of the strappy sandals I purchased from Zara was not so bad to walk in after awhile. But its probably because I'm really not used to wearing heels that don't have a thick heel. After awhile, I got used and could stand and walk in them with no problem. Practice, makes pefect. Ciao

Breakfast Club

I was watching this movie the other day and it got me thinking of people's perception of one another and how we classify each other. Just by looking at someone you already have an image of them made up in your mind. It may not always be true, what you see isn't always the reality. I would like to think I don't do this, but I do. In a way I think were all judgemental of each other some more than others. It's human nature, the thing is not to see everything in black and white. Our perceptions may be false, and we have to be able to evaluate it and change it. Well I'm off, Ciao.

"Life on Mars"

I am a huge fan of David Bowie he is so unlike any mainstream artists that plays on the radio today. He became known in the 70's an era of music that is so different than it is now. Today artists are all cookie cutter and want to stand out by wearing all this junk that supposedly separates them from the rest. Their not becoming known for their music anymore. Their getting publicity by what crazy outfits they wear. Their songs aren't original, they feel all mundane to me. Their is nothing revolutionary about them that will be played for generations to come. I feel like now anyone can be a famous arist with a decent voice all they need is a good beat, lyric, appearance, and thats it. Their isn't that emotion, conviction, or soul into it.

  David Bowie in sandals

I'm ranting, but yes their is a few good artists/musicians out there. But I still feel like it's not the same as it was before. Probably, because I listen to alot of older music that I don't feel the same connection to music now. There, I think I'll end my rambling here. What are your thoughts on music now and then? Ciao

The Best After Ever

I'm so excited, I went on one of my favorite authors website and found out she's releasing a book next May 2013. It's still along time away but I can't wait until its released. I've been reading her novels since eight grade! It made my day to find this out.

What it is about,

"Set in the fictional beach town of Colby, where several of Dessen’s novels take place, it features 18-year-old Emmeline, who is spending her last summer before college working for her family’s vacation rental business and enjoying a summer romance with a young aspiring filmmaker. Leigh Feldman at Writers House brokered the deal for world rights. "

Along for the Ride paperback cover      Lock and Key paperback

If you haven't read any of her novels, please do and check it out. You won't be disappointed

I love these looks with the flower headband that just add to the outfits making them look sweet and girly. Ciao

It's A Man's World

I really like menswear, the whole tie, bow, and suit look is really classy and sophisticated. It's so cool to walk around the city and see guys dressed up with their suits, messenger bags, and headphones on. It's a nice change from baggy jeans and way too big shirts on. I was reading this book titled "AskMen Presents: The Style Bible" the book discusses that men are programmed in the beginning to think that style doesn't matter and only girls are interested in it. But than later on something changes and its all about appearance and wasting money on clothing that doesn't fit and is not flattering. The book lays out the 11 rules guys should follow in building a wardrobe such as what to waste money on and what not to waste alot of money on. I read it primarily because I'm really interested in menswear and I want to go into designing for males as well as female looks that are inspired from it. I'm constantly getting inspired by female looks however, male looks also transition their way into my wardrobe choices. The below picture is a look that is inspired by this trend and that I simply like.
